THE TOTALLY INCONSEQUENTIAL BLOG (Issue 1): I am but a speck.

As I embark upon the writing of this, my first official blog post, I humbly remind myself of a somewhat harsh truth learned early in life:

Nobody cares.

Nobody cares what you do. Nobody cares what you say. And, sure as hell, nobody cares what you write in a blog post.

So why start in the first place?

Admittedly, I realize that I am about - oh, I don't know - 15 years or so late to the party. Blogs have been done and done to death. We've seen good ones, bad ones, weird ones, and pretty much everything in-between. Where mine will land on the spectrum? Well, that's anyone's guess.

But wait...nobody cares. I almost forgot.

I suppose this is an attempt to release the random ideas that float around in this crowded head of mine, perhaps a cheap form of self-therapy. But maybe (dare I hope?) it serves a potentially greater purpose: could it be that my words could reach out to another, inspire, comfort, invite discussion about...um..."topics" (TBD)?

Nah. It's all just verbosity. Isn't it?

Nobody cares.

I am but a curious little speck.
